Placement Guidelines for Guanyin Statues
Guanyin statue orientation is usually confirmed according to the main hall layout, local temple tradition, and the advice of the temple's ritual or craft specialists.
Distinguishing Male and Female Stone Lions
Male and female stone lions are commonly distinguished by attributes and placement, but final positioning should follow gate orientation, plinth size, and local custom.
Differences Between Teochew and Quanzhou Styles
Teochew carving is intricate, dense, and often combined with porcelain inlay; Quanzhou style features clean lines, sparse frames, and more negative space.
