CARVED STONE CENSERS
Custom stone censers can be planned for temple forecourts, prayer pavilions and main halls. Size, inscriptions, motifs, ash handling, drainage and walking space should be confirmed together.
A large incense burner can obstruct circulation, while one that is too small may look out of scale with the altar and hall. Send front and side photos, available floor area and an approved style reference.
Outdoor units need practical drainage, ash removal and maintenance access. Heat exposure, internal lining or metal components, if required, must be stated in the quotation rather than assumed.
Confirm total width, height, bowl opening, base area, walking route and distance from nearby structures.
Approve wording, character style, dragon or floral motifs and front, side and rear panel positions.
Define ash removal, rainwater drainage, internal lining and maintenance access before production.
Compare quotations using the same scope and dimensions.
| Size | Overall width and height, bowl opening, base dimensions, placement area and worship route. |
|---|---|
| Appearance | Approved reference, inscriptions, motifs, stone, carving depth and surface finish. |
| Delivery | Destination, packing method, unloading route, crane or forklift access and installation responsibility. |
When a temple also needs an offering table, deity pedestal or altar-front relief, their widths, heights and centre lines should be checked together so the worship area remains balanced and usable.
Similar names do not mean the same use, dimensions or safety checks.
| Outdoor ceremonial censer | Confirm the rim, widest body, handles, fire or ash chamber, pedestal, drainage, cleaning access and safe circulation around the piece. |
|---|---|
| Indoor stone censer | Coordinate it with the altar, deity sightline and worship route. Handle projection and working height matter as much as overall width. |
| Stone offering table | Give top length, width, thickness, finished height, clear leg span and the weight and footprint of items placed on it. |
| Furnace-related stonework | Heat, flue, fire separation and local compliance must be reviewed by the responsible site professionals; the stone workshop makes only to approved requirements. |
For a round censer, record rim diameter, maximum outside diameter, total width including handles, body height, finished height with pedestal and chamber depth. For a square or octagonal piece, give across-flat and diagonal dimensions and mark the front. For an offering table, add the top thickness, clear leg spacing and floor level.
Photograph the existing worship area from the front, side and above. Include a tape measure and the surrounding route. A single front photo is enough for an initial style discussion, but not for final manufacture.
